Artificial intelligence - ChatGPT is on everyone's lips. At a recent event organised by the Chamber of Commerce for entrepreneurs, the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) was discussed. The ChatGPT service was explained and everything that is possible with it was demonstrated.
Natural and yet artificial
What is ChatGPT? According to Wikipedia, it is "a chatbot that uses artificial intelligence to communicate with users via text-based messages. It uses advanced machine learning technology to generate responses that sound natural and are intended to be relevant to the conversation."
In other words, users can ask questions to which the system responds in natural language. It can support text input, audio input or both. In plain language, soon we will no longer know whether we are talking to a human or a machine? Do we really want that?
It is well known that machines learn more easily and more quickly than humans. First, the human feeds the machine with information. However, it is worrying when the machine learns on its own and at an ever faster pace.
Will humans soon be superfluous?
ChatGPT was developed by OpenAI, a Californian AI research company founded by Elon Musk and a programmer and investor, among others. The software giant Microsoft has been cooperating with OpenAI since 2019. This partnership involves investments totalling billions.
The ChatGPT was developed in 2022 OpenAI and is currently available to everyone. In addition to poems, explanatory texts and homework, the new model can now also communicate with you. It acts like a human dialogue partner, as long as the questions you ask it are not too abstract.
At the last WKO event, I was able to observe how only key data for an advert in the property sector was spoken into this system, and ChatGPT immediately started writing at lightning speed. I was amazed at how quickly an original text was created. In future, anyone who uses this service can become an original copywriter, regardless of the sector.
Sounds too good to be true? But be careful, how far do we want to go with this? And I don't want to go into the dangers of this system in detail, there are plenty of entries on Google.
Try it out and test it or leave it alone? Decide for yourself!
