The estate agent, visibly panicked, left the prospective buyers standing there for a moment and sprinted after the cat. The four-legged friend was quick, ran down the stairs and turned into the cellar. The estate agent followed him into the darkness, stumbled over a crate and finally stood in front of Fifi - triumphantly holding the animal in his arms.<\/p>\n
When he came back upstairs, the interested parties looked at him, slightly irritated. \"It's all right, I've rescued the cat!\" he said, out of breath. But the real shock came when the owner stepped out of the room and asked in bewilderment: \"What cat? Fifi is sleeping here on the sofa!\"<\/p>\n
The estate agent looked at the animal in his arms - a completely strange, scrawny cat with shaggy fur and a look on his face that literally seemed to say \"Where have I landed?\". It turned out to be a neighbour's cat who regularly roamed the stairwell.<\/p>\n
Conclusion: The estate agent not only had a wild chase behind him, but also an involuntary \"meet & greet\" with the neighbours.<\/p>\n
The interested parties found the story so entertaining that they even made a purchase offer at the end - but only on the condition that Fifi (the real one) remained present for the viewing.<\/p>\n
