In the everyday life of a real estate agent, you experience many things that no exposé ever reveals.
Here's a little moment to smile about from the last few months ...
😄 The front door dog as boss
During a viewing, I barely made it into the anteroom with the interested parties:
A small, inconspicuous dog sat outside the front door - and only "released" each room when he nodded in satisfaction.
We had a great time watching the family running after the four-legged "site manager".
In the end, the buyers said with a laugh: "If the dog accepts us, then the house will fit even better!"
😄 The ringing mobile phone in the fireplace
At a modern loft flat, we suddenly heard a telephone ringing, but nobody found it. After a few minutes, we discovered it: It was in the disused fireplace - the owner had put it there when cleaning and forgotten about it.
There was much laughter, and the prospective customer said: "Practical - you're only guaranteed to move it once!"
😄 The Christmas village in the wardrobe
During a house viewing in the middle of summer, a very friendly elderly couple proudly showed me round their home. Everything was perfectly tidy and spotless, you would have thought we were in a show home.
When we arrived in the bedroom, I routinely opened the large built-in wardrobe to show the interested parties the storage space.
I had barely pushed the door open when suddenly a soft sea of lights on: In front of us shone a complete Mini Christmas village with tiny houses, street lamps and a moving railway. Christmas carols even played softly from a hidden loudspeaker.
The buyers stood rooted to the spot and laughed heartily.
"We just couldn't part with it," explained the owner mischievously, "so we put our village in the cupboard for the winter - so it can shine all year round."
The atmosphere was immediately relaxed and we joked about the "cupboard Christmas market" for a long time.
In the end, this unexpected detail was not a flaw, but a real Sympathy bonusThe prospective buyers later told us that it was precisely because of this little surprise that they immediately fell in love with the house - and a few days later they signed the purchase contract.
